What Shwoom is
Shwoom is a set of free, browser-based tools for gaming names: nickname generators for Call of Duty (Warzone, CoD Mobile, Modern Warfare III) and other games, a Unicode nickname decorator, a clan tag generator, hand-picked name lists, and step-by-step guides for changing your in-game name. Every tool runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is sent anywhere, and none of the tools needs an account.
The site started in 2024 as a single Call of Duty nickname generator. Most of what has been added since came from what players actually searched for: CoD Mobile, Spanish-language versions of the core tools, and clan tags.
Who makes it
Shwoom is designed, built and maintained by Paul Gamer, an independent developer. There is no editorial team behind the name — the word libraries, name lists, guides and blog posts are written and maintained by one person, which is also why corrections land quickly (see below).
How the generators work
Each game has its own word library — a hand-written set of prefixes and suffixes chosen to match that game's slang, maps, weapons and naming culture. The generator combines them at random in your browser, optionally with a number or symbol, and keeps results inside the game's character limit (16 characters for Call of Duty and Valorant, for example). The Spanish versions use separate Spanish word libraries rather than translations of the English ones, so the names read naturally to Spanish-speaking players.
How the name lists are made
The curated lists (cool, sweaty, funny, military and per-game ideas) are written by hand and grouped by style. They are ideas, not a registry: a name that appears here may already be taken in a given game, so always check availability in the game itself before you commit to it.
Pro setups and loadouts
The pro setups section compiles the devices, accessories and sensitivity settings of CoD Mobile and PUBG Mobile players from their own public sources — settings videos, streams and profiles — and each page shows when it was last checked. The loadout builder draws on published tier lists and weapon guides; every build links the source it was checked against and carries the season it applies to, because the meta shifts roughly every month.
Some gear links in those sections are affiliate links, which means Shwoom may earn a commission if you buy through them at no extra cost to you. The disclosure appears on every page that uses them, and affiliate availability never decides what is listed.
Corrections and contact
If a setting is out of date, a name list has a mistake, or a guide no longer matches the game, say so and it will be fixed.
